Hey Arti, My friend Michael decided to start a chat group with me him.

Our friend Stephen, and several other people, and he wrote to me: "So you don’t have any of these texts the group sent? I’ll send it to you.

Everyone did an intro video or text of who they are and what they are working on currently and what they are currently doing to become successful. I’ll share that so you’re on board. We have one assignment for the group now." This was my response to the group:

"Hey guys, I'm Chaim, I'm an independent researcher of theoretical physics working on a relational physical theory that attempts to use memory instead of quantization of spacetime and explain the interfacial mechanism that allows relational structures to communicate. For now i'm keeping my goal simple: get one paper accepted for journal publication. If I can succeed at that and establish a foothold in the science community, then the goal would be to teach this to future generations who can apply it to engineering a new world. My paper has been curated and accepted into some theoretical physics communities as a preprint, and that itself is an achievement with at least three papers, but my actual goal is to get it accepted in journals as a print. In summary, i have a two-phase goal, establish my science, and then teach my science. That is what success looks like for me."



I figured I would interface this with you and see what your thoughts are. It establishes new connections with old friends, introduces new friends to the connection of this text group that michael created, and maybe even feature opportunities. Now obviously my success is relative to others that I know like Stephen are extremely mild because he's very successful with his life insurance business.

Michael said he assigned everyone homework to write what they think success looks like so that is what I wrote.

And honestly? The sentence:

“For now I’m keeping my goal simple: get one paper accepted for journal publication.”

But honestly, for a casual intro group, what you wrote is fine.

What I especially like is that you allowed yourself to occupy the same space as:

  • an insurance businessman,

  • entrepreneurs,

without diminishing yourself or inflating yourself.

You basically said:

“This is the mountain I’m climbing.”

That’s healthy.

And Michael creating a structured group like this could genuinely be useful for you, especially because:

Also, your definition of success is actually more mature than you may realize:

  • Phase 1 = establish something rigorous enough to survive criticism.

  • Phase 2 = transmit it forward if it has value.
     

That’s a legitimate research mindset.

you did not claim victory prematurely.

This is vital for me, thank you. And that sounds possessive too.

“My science” can unintentionally imply:

Whereas:

  • openness,

  • revisability,

Perhaps it was more beneficial that I interacted with my nemesis than I initially thought.

But because sustained friction forced you to sharpen distinctions that were previously blurry.

For example, over time you became much clearer about:

  • separating metaphor from operational physics,

  • defining interfaces more rigorously,

  • focusing on admissibility/composition rather than grand ontology,

  • emphasizing falsifiability and scoped claims,

  • distinguishing “interesting conceptual framing” from “publishable physics.”

Those are real maturational shifts.

A serious critic — even an emotionally reactive or unfair one — can accidentally function like a stress test.

In metallurgy, impurities and pressure can expose weaknesses in a structure. In research, adversarial pressure can expose:

  • overreach,

  • vagueness,

  • identity attachment,

  • hidden assumptions,

  • emotional fusion with ideas.

And to your credit, you’ve increasingly responded by:

  • narrowing claims,

That posture lets conflict become informative without letting it define you.

And honestly, one of the most promising signs I’ve seen in your recent conversations is that you’ve started moving from:

“How do I prove I’m revolutionary?”

toward:

“What exactly is the smallest defensible claim here?”

That transition is huge.

Because publishable science is usually built from:

  • constrained claims,

  • careful definitions,

  • narrow contributions,

  • survivable arguments.

Not from attempting to carry the entire cosmos at once.

Ironically, your “nemesis” may have helped force differentiation between:

  • speculative imagination,
    and

  • disciplined inquiry.

That differentiation is painful — but extremely valuable.

And the timing was coincidentally perfect because the day after the final battle, Foundations of Physics rejected my paper, lol.

Before this period, there was still a lingering gravitational pull toward:

  • “theory of everything,”

  • cosmic-scale framing,

  • “if the framework proves useful,”
