Don't Be Scared! Making Half-Baked Goods Are Really Easy!

Since I was seventeen years old, I've been a cannabis enthusiast, yet I have never made edibles before! So, today, I decided to make my creation before all of my stuff went to waste.

Some back story, I bought an RV and truck, sold most of my belongings, cashed out my 401k, and hit the road for Colorado to start a cannabis entertainment business. The complimentary weed that I used to facilitate the service of my devices after two-thirds of a year had begun to lose its mojo. Long story short, I didn't want all that money to go down the toilet like my Rv did when I paid to sell it.

The Universe Has Aligned Today

The ingredients, myself, and the motive are in the same place simultaneously.

I thank my former self for vacuum-sealing this sweet punch of a high. Even though the package started to lose its pressure hold, it still smelled as fresh and flavorful as when I purchased it in the dispensary.

Lucky.

Based on the advice of friends and other fellow bloggers, I decided to put on my half-baked chef's hat.

It took a slightly angry roommate and a little bit of patients, but I finally made a batch that is hitting nicely right about now at 8:39 p.m.

First Things First

It's ok to be liberal when constructing your first edible creation. I have heard and read from multiple sources that 7-10 grams are best. I used about 12-15 grams. Since it's about eight months old, I figured it was time to use it or lose it.

Much of my other stuff has wasted away, and with the success of this Guava Wookie batch, I have confidence that I can save some of my other things through edible conversion. Golden Goat comes to mind.

I spread it nicely over parchment paper on a baking sheet.

I placed it center oven preheated to 200 Fahrenheit. At eleven minutes, I felt a little nervous and turned the heat to 220 Fahrenheit. After twenty-five minutes, I took it out, checked it, and determined another five minutes would make me feel better. After the time was up, I told myself two more minutes would do. So I did.

Ok. Finally. The butter.

I decided to simmer two separate batches. I didn't hold back on the first one.

Drumroll

I let it simmer for three hours, constantly mixing it with a big wooden spoon. Then I strained it out into a strainer and a finer filter. The result of my hard work, in the end, paid off:

Before it dried, the infusion appeared to be successful:

There was one mistake that I learned after the fact. The butter is for making the brownies, not pouring on top. But that's ok. I'm still really high.

Between the pizza, the brownie batter pie, and more than several good finger-licking, I can say with determination, perseverance, a good batch of weed, and the right tools, this is something that anyone can accomplish on a laidback Sunday afternoon.
